prefer listening to alternative or indie rock. right now i'm totally digging the frey, and i love the yeah yeah yeahs. Yeah Yeah Yeahs are prettty solid.. off their new album (show your bones) I would have to say that song 'Gold Lion' is really good, and I like that 'Warrior' song too.. I havent listened to the older stuff.. but you should check out the oldschool indi/alt/punk stuff like The Cure and The Ramones or even The Clash (rock the casbah!) thats some good stuff.. And the girl thingycat dolls far from rock.. other than nicole they are all 'telentless' and are using sex to sell themselves. I will admit some of songs are somewhat catchy, but they will go the way of the spice girls except that people remember the spice girls and no one will remember the dolls.

JT album is very good, i gotta say i like the song with T.I. "my love" Panic! at the disco's video for that song is really wierd.. although the song is catchy... Listen to "pose" on the JT cd it's with Snoop ... loving it right now. I agree that the Panic! video is strange, ur talking about the "Lying is the most fun ..." right? I didn't really get the fish concept. AmanB I love The Fray too, ever since I heard "how to save a life" (off a Grey's Anatomy commercial). You should listen to Sam Roberts ( this guy's AWESOME), Stabilo (from Vancouver) or City and colour. Dallas Green (from C&C) has a great voice and he's one of the singers for Alexisonfire (another good band). Plus, you can't go wrong with listening to The Ramones as Harman suggested. Also, if you like the Yeah Yeah Yeahs you should listen to the Arcade Fire.

I feel so old "yeah yeah yeahs".... Emo music is so weird. ahahaha... I'm glad i'm not the only one. *and a side note on this "JT" fellow... what I'm about to say might hurt some fans, and may offend them too... but, really, I don't care. ;D Although some of his songs are tolerable and certainly, his singing ability not questionable, there's one thing to be said about "JT": --> He's a poser... a copycat... a FAKE! He stole a lot of his "ideas" from my man, MJ... yes, that's right. I said it, he COPIED Michael. From his dance moves, his clothes, and even down to his high-pitched voice... it's ALL or MOSTLY inspired by mJ. That in no way bothers me, but what does is the fact that he doesn't fess up to it. He claims that these are all his ideas and his style.. not one time (or that I know of) has he said that he was inspired by MJ... and to say he hasn't, is a lie. So the next time you see his videos or hear him sing, watch/listen carefully... you'll know what i'm talking about. Discover the real JT for who he really is... a fake mJ. And folks, there can only be one King of Pop, and he's already at his throne.

micheal jackson = copied heavily from james brown
music is full of people ripping other people off.. you should judge music on its own merits and based on what u think of that particular artist, or that particualar song, etc. and i think from his first solo album timberlake has prove that he has talent and has worked with high-profiled artists (just look at the artist featured on the new disc); so he's paid his dues and i think he's a reasonably good artist.. hating doesnt get us anywhere..

I downloaded the snow patrol album based on your guysz good reviews, and I must say im not that impressed, maybe I need to listen to it more. I also thought that the "chasing cars" song is not bad but it isnt really that good either.
The song that is absolutely stuck in my head right now is Gary Jules - Mad World.. also of the "Gears of War" commercial fame and from the movie "Donnie Darko".
Also downloaded '2 much glassy' and will have a listen to, later on.
--> "Truly Madly Deeply" by Savage Garden was solid.. great song, and great band (maybe a bit underrated?)
-->"I Hate Everything About You" Three Days Grace.. great song especially the acoustic version
-->"Freak On a Leash" Korn.. solid as well
--> Nirvana is awesome; i like lithium, the man who sold the world (david bowie cover), Polly, come as you are, and definately hear-shaped box (wicked song), too many others..
-->Favourite Safri song is gotta be "pao bhangre" seeing how its also my ringtone..
I forgot about BRYAN ADAMS baby.. summer of '69, everything i do (i do it for you), heat of the night, im ready, only love, thought id died and gone to heaven,.. classsix
