So who do you think is the best right now? I think it's Thortan. The man is insane. Watch his games, he'll dazzle you . What you guys think? Specify who you think is the best if you choose "other".

I think we all know who i think the most dominant (it's not pizza, yaar - dominate ) player is.... But besides BERTY, my vote is for Joe Thornton.... last year. I don't know about now... he hasn't scored a goal so far, but then again... he's always been the passer, finds Cheecho anywhere on the ice, literally. I gained a lot of respect for this guy last year when he single handedly raped the Canucks... he was a a huge factor in us not making it to the playoffs in that final stretch. He was unstoppable. But for this season, I'm not sure yet. I've never liked that "Sid the Kid"... i dono, he just pisses me off. And no, I'm not jealous. I get asked that all the time. I think I just don't like young guys coming in and taking the game away from legends... i think that's what bothers me... you grow up liking certain players and you idolize then, but then when they retire you are forced to like new ones and sometimes new ones win your heart (i.e.HENNY)... Siddy boy hasn't won anything on my list yet. And i don't think he ever will. I don't mind that Ovechkinn guy though. Mostly just cuz i like his name But for me, Bertuzzi will always be my #1.

Why you have Cheechoo on that list instead of Crosby? Cheechoo fed off of Thornton. Luongo instead of Kiprusoff? Luongo hasnt done anything in his career.
Bertuzzi is a bum, he only plays when he wants to. This year is a contract year for him, so he'll play good until he signs a contract or until he explodes and goes off on Jacques Martin.
Last year, Thornton was the most dominant player and I'd say he still is, for the time being. By the end of the season, everyone will be singing praises for Crosby and he'll be the consensus first overall pick in everyone's fantasy draft next year.
Ovechkin is easily my favourite player in the NHL right now, but with performances like last night, Crosby will PWNAGE. Crosby + Ovechkin marketing can easily be better than Wade + Lebron. Ovechkin will always be the more exciting player.

Sorry, typo -_- nobodys perfect lol...
Yes... oO Crosby will "Pistal-Own" in the NHL...lol. I don't liek crosby myself, not enough for all the hype that was around him, but I guess all the attention and the magnifying glass on him kinda slowed him down.
Cheechoo I don't think is good either, he fed off thorton that is true. However I thought i'd get a reply saying "Cheechoo won the rocket trophy, why isnt he up there?"

clearly ladies and gentlemen the most dominant player is crosby....he's gon be or already is 19 and is considered equal to wayne gretzky...in an interview gretzky predicted that this boy would break all his records...and this guy is living up to his reputation...i dunno if u guys have seen the best goal in hockey but it's crosby's when he was behind the net and bent his stick so the puck would stay on his blade and lifted the puck into the top right of the net from behind the net it was freakin sick and hes brought that to his NHL game just mark my words if not this season then next season he will win art ross trophy easily...and yeee thornton is okay but since main d from everyteam covering him dun b surprised if marleau line produced as much as the top line in san jose yup so theres my pick

not enought for the hype? the man scored 100 points alone in steel town. one player who you forgot is St. Peter. He did the same thing with Gagne as Thornton did for Cheechoo.

Crosby will not get 92 goals in a year ... that is impossible. Crosby will be great but not Gretzky great.
Crosby does have a shot at breaking some of his records but not the big ones ... 1963 career assists, 1072 professional goals, Most points, one season, including playoffs: 255 Fastest 100 points: 34 games in 1983-84.
just to name a few

Crosby? Oh man. Momma's boy Crosby? COME ON! You have to be kidding me. That pretty boy is afraid to step up the hype, his goals are flukes and he has yet to make people go "wow". He may have been crazy in the juniors and all that before REAL hockey, but he is nothing in the NHL. He gets all sad when no one gives him the puck and he can't even defend himself. And please don't disgrace Gretzky's name by putting Crosby beside it.

I am not a big Sidney Crosby fan, but any player, let alone a nineteen year old rookie, that can score 102 points in a year on the Pittsburgh Penguins, with the amount of pressure he had, is simply an amazing player. If his linemates were nearly as skilled as those that played with Joe Thornton or Dany Heatley, he would have scored even more points. I don't think anyone of us would be saying that he is nothing in the NHL, if he was playing for our beloved Canucks. Crosby? Oh man. Momma's boy Crosby? COME ON! You have to be kidding me. Crosby aint Gretzky, but no one ever will be.
But .. did you see Crosby's goal in the preseason game where Malkin gets injured in? Hell, even the pass .... no look behind the back.
Youngest player to get 100 points in a season, the kid in my opinion is living up the hype and exceeding it. The 4 most hyped players in the last 25 years: Gretzky, Lemieux, Lindros and Crosby.
I think by the time its done, Crosby will have broken many of Lemieux's records ... Not the 199 point season one tho.
Guaranteed, in 3 years from now ... 150 point season, and that'll be at the age of 22. Think about it 10 years from now, he'll be getting what could be 170-180 point seasons.
INCREDIBLE
Apparently you didnt see the game against the Flyers last season when Crosby destroyed Hatcher.

sunny.... And I still don't like Crosby, despite what everyone has written about him. My opinion won't change until he does a play that isn't selfish and is "WOW" material. Ok thanksss
