MASSACRE OF SIKHS IN DELHI 1984

During the first week of November 1984 there was a massacre of more than 5000 Sikhs in Delhi.

This all started after two Sikh Soormay Shaheed Bhai Beant Singh and Shaheed Bhai Satwant Singh administered justice on the Indian Witch known as indira gandhi.

After news got out that indira gandhi was killed by two Sikhs, hindu mobs immediately began targeting Sikhs in and around Delhi. It should be known that the individuals responsible for inciting these riots and massacres are now people who are sitting in high positions within the Indian government. Isn't it amazing how murderers in India are rewarded with government positions and not punished for their crimes? Up until today no one has been held accountable for these crimes. Even the former Indian Prime Minister atal bihari vajpayee was involved in organizing these mobs.

Our Sikh brothers and sisters were murdered, beat, looted, raped, among other horrendous atrocities that were committed against them by the rabid dogs that comprised these mobs.

Over 5,000 Sikhs died during the massacre and over 60,000 were rendered homeless in Delhi alone.

"The Widow Colony — India's Unsettled Settlement", borrows its name from the settlement in Tilak Vihar, on the west-side of New Delhi, which is locally called the Widow Colony or Vidhva Colony. The film takes the viewer to the streets of Trilokpuri, Kalyanpuri, Himatpuri, Sultanpuri and Mongolpuri, the same localities that suffered the major brunt of the Sikh killings in November of 1984.
