Vigneult made 2 big decisions, I thought one was good, and one was bad. 1. Goalies. Mr. New Canuck Coach should have started Luongo today, and then let Saberiegn start on (what should be) an easier game vs. St.Louis (however we all knew what happened vs. them last year). This way, Saberiegn would have got an easier start, and Luongo would have got a good rest after an important game. And it's not like Lu is tired; it's the seventh game, and he's getting paid almost 7 mil (most a goalie has EVER gotten paid). 2. Linden. I thought it was a good decision. Anybody with a straight mind could see Linden was not doing well...not even close. I know that this man is just not an ordinary Canuck... he is the Canuck, but something had to be done. Linden was angry because of this decision, and why shouldn't he be, but he handled it well. He didn't make a whole fuss that the media could fiest on, he just stayed relatively quiet. What Linden should be thinking is, "Ok, alright. Stratch me? I'll show you what I got!" and he should come back on Friday and just rip it up. I think that was Vigneult's thought process, and I think it was a good decision. Side note. Linden's filler was Santala or whatever his name is. The guy gets the chance to be in NHL and strut his stuff, and he takes 2 penalties. Why don't you just tell the Canucks that you don't want to play? It was just horrible. This is his chance to shine and he just totally screws it up. Canucks aren't the only ones who lost tonight

good thoughts about the game KH and Sharon. Expect all games between oilers/flames/canucks to be low scoring close games. These teams basically hate each other on the ice.
Oilers are not some crappy team, they did make it to the finals last year (less pronger). I would take a spilt with Oilers this early in the season every day.

yeah but these 2 games, Edmonton didn't play good. Canucks were the better team yesterday, if they came to EDM the same way today (coulda even played a lil worse) they coulda taken both. Ah, I thought it was a game we shoulda won. BTW, that emotion between the division wasn't there today.

First Period SummaryScoreCanucks - 0 Blues - 1 PenaltiesCanucks - 0/2 Blues 1/6 (6th will continue in second) Time In Opposing EndCanucks domiated first quarter of period, and had only one full power play, so Blues have 13/7 advantage. Wow, this isn't a hockey game for the Canucks, it's more of a parade to the penalty box. Canucks in the first 5-7 minutes of the game were doing very well, but then it was almost straight special teams (and canucks were mostly on the PK). Naslund has a third of the penalties (2, and 4 in 4 periods now); way to lead by example cappy. First shot on Luongo is a goal (lol edmonton game?) and it's 1-nothing STL. Second Period SummaryScoreCanucks - 0 Blues - 1 PenaltiesCanucks - 0/6 (7th starting in third) Blues 1/6 Time In Opposing EndAll Canucks. Because of the powerplays and the pressure, the Blues got maybe 2 minutes in the Canucks end. Well, completely opposite than the first; STL was the team with all the PKs, and they did an awesome job. The powerplays even up (surprise surprise) but Canucks do nothing with it (again, surprise). However, you have to give credit to Sanford, Canucks had only a few good chances on 4 PP's and he kept the puck out of the net. What are we going to have to do to score?! Third/Final Period SummaryScoreCanucks - 3 Blues - 2 PenaltiesCanucks - 2/11 Blues 2/10 Time In Opposing EndAll Canucks again, but not as much as second period. About 15/5. So, why can't Canucks play like that for all 3 periods? For the second game in a row, they only play good for the last period, this time they got lucky. Powerplays was the name of this game, and both teams pretty much sucked. With a scoring team, this could have easily been a 5-4 game. Canucks get lucky, 6 on 3 for the Nassy goal, then 0.08 seconds in overtime when salo hammered it home. Not a very good game, but a win is a win

Yep he's awesome, just his presence on the blue line is frightening. If he's not on the powerplay, the opposing team doesn't really have to worry about the point, however Ohlund can occasionly can ripple the mesh, and I think Bieksa is awesome this year. But yeah, the game we didn't have him...dang.
Nashville today at 5. Always check first post for game info.

Nice comeback ... again.
A good record too for the Canucks, cuz they've played 7 of their 9 games on the road so far.

I totally forgot about summary . Yeah comeback... again. I'm afraid it's not going to be a happy ending everytime (ofcourse) and the Canucks need to learn that now. However this time the only bad period was the second, so improvement.

a story for you: I went on my break at 5 so I could catch the 1st period... I turn to the team1040 to find the BC Lions pre-game show on... I was freakin out thinking, hai? could i have had the time wrong? nah, that couldn't be... maybe they'll cut this BC Lions crap and get back to the game... i wait 5 mins and still no hockey... There I was sitting in my car, all pumped up to listen for nothing! So, I decide to call some ppl to get to the bottom of this... Jasleen-no answer, Chetan-no answer, Joyce-work, Manny-prolly sleeping , and then it hit me... INDER! and guess what, he picked up! wooo hoooo for inder... although he told me the wrong dial, I just kept flipping and I eventually got it... so, THANKS INDER! you saved my break from being a complete bore and i got to listen to my 1st period! ;D yea... so that was my story... but in regards to the game: AWESOME! I caught the last 5 min of the 3rd and the OT... man, as much as everyone is hating on Mo rite now, you gotta admit, that guy sure does come in handy at key moments. I'm just so glad for him... he's got something off his shoulders, hopefully he can keep this going.

Even funnier. When you called him he said "hi sharon" and I was right there and I whisper asked him "Sharon from the forums?" and he nodded.

Next game monday vs Dallas at 5:30 Pretty good game... Canucks had control for most of the game. In fact, there was one time durng the game (I think 2nd period) where the Stars didn't have a single shot on goal until they had a 5-3 powerplay advantage... that's pretty nutty. Full credit goes to Dallas goaltender Marty Turco who played an awesome game stopping some very good chances for the Canucks. I always enjoy Stars vs. Canucks matchups because they play a similar game... also, Turco and Luongo play the same sorta style too... so that's more entertainment! Overall good road game for the Canucks. They played hard, had chances, but came out short in the end. Once again, they came very close to tying it in the 3rd, but a good stick by a Dallas player (Zubov, I beileve) stopped the puck right at the goal line. It would have been great to see the Nucks score in the 3rd, yet again, but you can't be heroes everytime. Next up: Chicago on Wed. Oct 25 @ 5:30 - PPV
