Back to the summaries First Period SummaryScoreCapitals - 0 Canucks - 2 PowerplaysCapitals - 0/0 Canucks - 1/4 (4th continues in 2nd period) TOECanucks dominated, Capitals got into our zone for like a minute (maybe less) Total domination by the Canucks. Ofcourse, powerplay helps but I thought they were good calls, and there could have been more; Kolzig hit Bulis on the breakaway and Ovechkin ran into Luongo. However, I'm not complaing, a 4-0 powerplay lead is more than enough. Washington didn't really have any offence except for Ovechkins, he just showed us how nifty he is. Luongo was up to the challenge, however. I thought it was an excellent period, let's keep it going! Second Period SummaryScoreCapitals - 2 Canucks - 2 PowerplaysCapitals - 2/3 Canucks - 1/5 TOEAll Canucks, again. However Washinton did get 3 PP's. Total domination by the Canucks again, however 3 powerplays for WSH and 1 for VAN. I was disappointed with the score at end of the period, I thought Canucks were good enough to have atleat a 3-1 lead (you can't blame Luongo for the 5-3 goal). Penalty trouble got 'em... Third/Final Period SummaryScoreCapitals - 2 Canucks - 3 PowerplaysI lost count, too exciting TOEMaybe it was more even period, however Canucks were ahead. Well, what an exciting game, I loved it. I thought it was fast-paced, non-stop action, it was amazing. Daniel Sedin had the best chance to end it, but Kolzig had an awesome game (how Henrik found Daniel there is crazy). Overtime was even more exciting, and 4 on 4 the Sedins just owned. They are just so outstanding, they control the puck so well. Nobody scored in OT so it went to a shootout where Naslund made a sick move and Morrison baarreeelllyy scored to end it. I thought it was the most entertaining game of the season.

Excellent game. I came home from work and watched it (recorded). Ovechkin is insane and is fun to watch, even tho he didnt have a very entertaining game.
I just hope Gary Bettman fixes this stupid scheduling and makes it that Ovechkin and Crosby can come here atleast once every year .... I'll take once every two years.

this guy is pavel bure with fleury's strength and fire. He is dangerous.
The NHL should change the way they make the schedule. We won't see Ovechkin here in vancouver with the current system till 08/09 season. That is complete bull-dodo.
I am sick of seeing the same teams 8 times a year. Make it all the western teams play each other 4 times and East 2 times. This helps two ways....
1) we get to see the Eastern teams here, every year, and don't get bored with the same teams.
2) Eastern conference is weak at the bottom half of the conference, so teams like sabres and sens go buck and makes the record/team look better then they really are.
Buffalo doesnt play a western conference team until christmas time. No wonder they undefeated.

Canucks @ Minnesota First Period SummaryCanucks - 2 Wild - 1 PowerplaysCanucks - 0/1 Wild 1/1 TOEI'd say mostly all Canucks, atleast for the middle part of the period (however a lot of it was just back and forth). I'd say 13/7. Slow start, however the Wild started to press for a few minutes but didn't really do anything except one scoring chance. Canucks got 2 quick goals by the 3rd and 4th line and didn't look like they were stopping. Kesler, Cooke and Burrows looked like the top line, getting a goal drawing a penalty (and didn't even get time on the PP). Late PP goal by the Wild that angered me. He kicked it in, and the commentators agreed. I thought it wasn't realyl conclusive so the no goal call should have stuck. Also, a rocket by Rolston gave Vancouver a scare when it hit Luongo in the shoulder and he went down instantly, awkwardly. However, he got back up, and a few minutes later the period ended to give him a rest. Second Period SummaryCanucks - 2 Wild - 2 PowerplaysCanucks - 0/4 Wild 1/1 TOEAbout the same as the first period. 3 PP's for the Nucks sure did help. Well the Canucks got 3 powerplays and did... nothing. Every game they get so many chances, they pretty much get the win handed to them on a sliver platter, but they can't win, what the heck is wrong? I know the game isn't over but when you get 3 more powerplays then the opposing team you should be getting the goals. The penalty shot was funny; slap shot. Rory Fitzpatrick hauled down Rolston that might of been a questionalbe call; Rory skated up to him so maybe it wasn't a clear but breakaway. I don't know for sure, but what I do know is that Fitzpatrick is never playing on the PP again (giveaway and gave them a penalty shot). I'll give it to the Wild, they played a good game despite the penalties (however they were good at the PK). I thought their backup was good, too. Also, Sami Salo left the period about mid-way through, and I have a feeling that Luongo is still feeling the effects of that slapper. I hope Luongo didn't stop the penalty shot on purpose just so he wouldn't get hit by that rocket of a shot . Third Period SummaryCanucks - 2 Wild - 5 PowerplaysCanucks - 0/6? Wild - ? I just lost count TOECanucks for the most part again (more powerplays), i didn't really keep count. Well, what an awful, awful game. We get two quick goals in the first, looks like it's gonna' be a walk in the park, and with 15 seconds left the Wild kick in a goal and it's all downhill from there. Canucks were pressing, hard. They got so many chances, especially Sedins and Pyatt. They get even more powerplays and still couldn't captilize, just depressing. However, you have to give credit to the Wild backup, he looked like an all-star. Rory Fitzpatrick had a lousy game, Salo didn't come back, and the Canucks can't score on the powerplay. On top of that, 2 seconds left the Wild are about win, and they score a weak slapper to add insult to injury. An ugly end to an ugly game.

>:(Right now, I'm pretty pissed off that this "Luongo-hero" guy. Hero smero, I aint seen nothing yet. And no, I'm not just hating because the Canucks lost.... but overall, I haven't seen the best of this supposed "#3 in the league" goalie. So far, lots of talk and no game.On a whole, the rest of the team has played hard... they outplayed the Flamers, hit them, had puck possession (although we all know that means nothing when u can't score), etc.... but yet, no win. Kipper kept his team in the game and Iginla, almost single-handedly, led his team to win last night. I thought we were supposed to get a goalie like Kipper ... keeps his team in the game even when they totally suck (i.e flamers' play in the 1st period)... the "one-goal-less-a-game" kinda goalie. So far, nothing like that from "Bingo Bango Bongo, his name is Roberto Luongo." As of now, I'm disappointed and still bitter about this trade. Krajek is a good bonus, I like his play. But Bob? Not so much.
